Georgia Bulldogs: A Win Is An Unimpressive Win

Georgia defeated Kentucky Saturday night by the score of 29-24. The Bulldogs survived to play another day, or to play Florida next Saturday in Jacksonville. Georgia was unimpressive in victory, especially considering they were coming off of a bye week. They allowed the Wildcats to score their first first-quarter touchdown in 20 games. This came on Kentucky's opening possession of the game, and it was a 'Cat and Dawg fight the rest of the night. Even though Georgia out gained Kentucky 504-329 yards and Aaron Murray was 30 of 38 for 427 yards and four touchdowns, the Bulldogs cannot beat the impressive Gators with this same effort. Their performance against one of the SEC's worst teams was lackluster. If not for a tremendous play by Connor Norman recovering a Kentucky onside kick, the night might not have finished with the same score, or with the same winner. Georgia must play with more intensity, discipline and determination against Florida. After all, the Eastern Division title hangs in the balance. How much more motivation can you need? Just sayin...
