Shawn Williams: Just Telling It Like It Is...

Shawn Williams said Monday night what everybody already knew. After practice, the senior strong safety said this of Georgia's defensive unit: "We're playing too soft as a defense." He ripped into teammates for their lack of emotion, and their attitude in general. He even went so for as to say the coaching staff might be playing the wrong personnel. Whether or not you agree with Williams going public with this or not, you certainly can't argue him being dead on in his assessment. I particularly liked one statement he made when he wondered how his Bulldogs would react once Florida punches 'em in the mouth. Will they give in, or will they fight back? We'll all know the answer to that on Saturday afternoon.

This is a reflection of the state of the program and it's culture. It is a sad day to be a Georgia Bulldog.

I think it's a great day to be a Georgia Bulldog. It's about time someone tells it like it is. We need more Shawn Williams on this team. DGD
