Tennessee at South Carolina: Who Can Stop the Bleeding?

The wolves are howling, the 'Vol'chers are circling, and the "Hot Seat" is in flames. Things are not at all copacetic in Knoxville, Tennessee these days. The Volunteers (3-4) desperately need a win for their embattled head Coach Derek Dooley. They travel to Columbia, S.C. to take on the 17th ranked South Carolina Gamecocks (6-2) Saturday afternoon. Both teams are on multiple game losing streaks, Tennessee 3 straight losses and Carolina 2 straight defeats. They both lost last week by 30+ point margins, Carolina to Florida and Tennessee to Alabama. One team will leave the field Saturday after having finally won a football game. The 'Cocks are favored by 14 at home. Steve Spurrier said he hopes Florida beats Georgia Saturday, so I hope Tennessee prevails over his Gamecocks. Nothing complicated about that. Just sayin...

SC lost on the road to 2 top 10 teams. The Noon kickoff helps UT a little, but I don't give them any chance. After all, Dooley is winless against ranked opponents at UT.
